Wow, we've really done it now. This is the official launch of Stand Up Paddle Surfing Magazine Pure Stoke Radio! As far as we can tell this is the first, one and only, radio show by stand up paddlers, for stand up paddlers. We are so excited about this. SUPSURFMAG.COM Associate Editor, Bill Ward and I were talking on the phone one day and it suddenly occurred to us that, man, we could turn this into a radio show. When we get together in person or one the phone, we can't stop talking about our last session, the challenges we have, the people we've met out in the water, the waves, the boards, the paddles, newest technology, and whatever comes to mind. Then we thought, hey wouldn't it be great if we could listen to a couple of stoked out surfers just having a good time talking about the sport? Well, that's how it all began. We're still working out the kinks to get the audio just right and little things like that, but it's up and running and we couldn't be happier.
We anticiapate each radio session to be about 10-15 minutes so you can catch the latest on your lunch break or whatever. Some of the sessions may go longer when we have special guests, interviews, or things of that nature. We had the radio player designed so it'll open in it's own window. That way, you can surf the web, read articles, and watch videos without having to refresh the page. We are just thrilled with how smooth this all came about. It was like, "Hey Bill, we should turn this into a radio show," and about 3 days later it was on and we've got this online stand up paddle surfing radio show! We have an email box set up at
where you can send in your feedback or request topics of interest. Hey, if you want to be a guest on the show, let us know and we'll patch you over the phone or something.
We don't pretend to know it all or anything. We're just having a good time and always looking for new ways to fuel the stoke that has us hooked on one of the greatest water sports ever. It's funny becuase now, Bill and I get going over the phone talking about something and Bill will say something like, "Wait..wait...wait...I'll save it for the radio." Man, I can wait to see what he's got saved up for us. I'll check back with you all later. And remember, send your feedback or requests to
. -Much Aloha.
