Aloha Stand Up Paddlers,

Winter is such a dynamic season for those around the world who have acccess to north facing shores. Swells come at the drop of a hat and leave just as fast. One day it'll be firing and hollow and then next, mellow and fun for the family. Such was the case yesterday when we had friends from out of town spend a day with us at the beach and it was mellow waves all day. What a blast! The waves were about waist high and perfect for beginners. We left the paddles on the beach and took the stand up paddle boards out on the water for some prone-paddle tandem surfing. I personally have zero tandem surfing background but with the stability and ease of paddling, we were riding waves tandem on our stand up paddle surfboards. It was a day of big smiles, plenty of swallowed salt water, and stoked out rides. So, if you haven't already tried it, take that stand up paddle board tandem!
