2-4′ traditional Hawaiian scale came to the North Shore to start off the winter. The forecast looks like the waves are going to keep on coming. Derek, Chi, Chris, Jay, and myself made up the SUP crew for the morning. Malaho to everyone for surfing aloha and respecting others in the water. It was a great start to the winter season. Avalanche was clean and pretty with shoulder to head high waves and the occasional overhead set. I often get asked what's being ridden on the North Shore in the way of stand up paddle surfboards. Today it was 4 Paddle Surf Hawaii boards and one NSP longboard. Most memorable wave of the day was Derek's huge floater in the pic above. www.supsurfmag.com ...100% Pure Stoke!
