Kialoa Paddles is constantly working to design the perfect stand up paddle for a variety of conditions. We are so impressed by Kialoa's extensive paddle lineup that we had to spread the word.Kialoa has three stand up paddles, The Kole Stand-Up Surf Paddle, The Nalu Stand-Up Surf Paddle, and The S.U.S. Improved for 2007 Model.
The "Kole" is a full bladed paddle for excellent distance paddling. Full carbon fiber construction provides a choice combination of flex and stiffness to maximize the power transfer of each stroke. The "Kole" blade is 9 inches wide and the entire paddle weighs a mere 24 oz. A lightweight paddling powerhouse.
The "Nalu" (Hawaiian word for wave) is Kialoa's original paddler/wave rider. This paddle, also lightweight carbon fiber construction, features Kialoa's 9.25" Axle blade shape. The carbon fiber cloth in the paddle shaft is wrapped in a criss-cross pattern to support flexing and twisting that a paddle undergoes when riding waves.
Finally, the "S.U.S. Improved" model is a paddle unlike any other. This paddle delivers a combination of hand-shaped wooden handle, anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum shaft, and carbon fiber blade. The blade of the S.U.S. Improved is Kialoa's new Axle II blade design. Blade width is also 9.25". Kialoa has priced this paddle at $269. We were pleasantly surprised that Kialoa is offering such an advanced paddle for well under the average industry price-point.
From all the input we have received about Kialoa paddles, they are a top of the line product. We have never received any reports of Kialoa paddle or shaft breakage. Many top surfers have adopted Kialoa as their paddle of choice. For photos and more information, visit www.kialoa.com.
