girls4sport_logo.pngGirls4Sport sent over their Sport Tank Rashguard and Half Sleeve Rashguard for women for a stand up paddle gear review and the feedback is excellent. This review was written by Heidi Burgoyne. Heidi has been teaching stand up paddling on the North Shore of Oahu going on 4 years and races competitively.

"This is the most well put-together suit for the female athlete I have found. And with more than fourteen years in watersports, I have worn A LOT of performance style swimsuits. Between swimming, surfing, racing and teaching stand up paddling, I need something that really stands up to the job. I want a suit that will perform with me, not one I have to do battle with while enjoying my sport.

I recently got the Sport Tank and the Half Sleeve models from Girls4Sport.  As soon as I slipped on the suits, I exclaimed, “Oh my gosh!  It actually fits!”

girls4sport_half_sleeve.jpgNow, I’m an average sized woman, so the fitting part has nothing to do with me.  But I could tell there was a lot of thought put into the material and shape of both suits.  I love the priority on modesty – they both have a built in bra and the tops are long enough that I don’t feel I am doing a belly dance when I wear it.  The fabric is thick and smooth – a good sign of top quality material.

What most stands out to me about the tank top model is that this suit is made to perform.  The lines are contoured to a feminine shape, and the extra-wide cut along the shoulders, arms and back allow for continual movement.

girls4sport_sport_tank_pink.jpgThe T-cut on the back allows my shoulder blades to be completely open.  The shoulder straps are placed closer to the neck to allow full range of motion without pressure.  A forward scoop cut on the bust allows me to stroke or paddle without any irritation or rubbing against the fabric.  I love it.  I feel like the company has really studied the needs of the female water athlete.

I’ve worn both suits many times and for many hours and I always feel comfortable in both. Totally a fan."
