Saturday, September 26, 2009, stand up paddlers will take to the waters of San Francisco for the 2009 Hennessey's International Championship stand up paddle and paddleboard race. The event course for paddleboards is nine miles and circles Alcatraz. The stand up paddle course is six miles. As always, lunch, music and party follow the races and is open to friends and family members for a small fee. Friday night, there is registration at Capurro's restaurant from 4-7 pm.  

The race begins at Aquatic Park in San Francisco at 7:30 in the morning. There are two stand up paddle divisions: 1) 12'6" and under rudderless stock (39 yrs and under division, 40+ division, womens) 2) Unlimited any size "anything goes class" (39 yrs and under division, 40+ division).

First place stock and unlimited sup will receive $1000 bonus and first womens finisher $500 bonus. Price money is as follows: 1st place $350, 2nd place $200, third place $150. 

Check in a final registration begins at 6:30am at Aquatic Park.

Entry fee is $75 with late entry $85. Includes lunch banquet, awards, and premium goodie bag.
