Taking place Saturday, August 8th, H2O Audio, the leader in high-performance waterproof headphones and accessories for active people everywhere, is proud to be the title sponsor of the 2nd Annual Surf Monkey Challenge, an innovative endurance-sport crossover event that brings fitness enthusiasts and world class athletes together for an exciting day of races, music and beach activities. 

The event will feature a 5km Run/Walk, a Run/Swim Combination, and a 1 mile Ocean Swim...and for the ultimate competitors, a 4-mile & 8-mile Paddleboard/SUP Race. The Paddleboard/SUP Race is a qualifier for Battle of the Paddle on October 11, 2009.

In addition to live music on the beach and around the Oceanside pier, an interactive expo will supplement the day of competition: an H2o Audio 3-person Corporate Challenge for the best combined time (5km Run, Open Water Surf Swim, and 4-mile SUP Race) featuring teams from local businesses including H2o Audio, and an Individual King and Queen Monkey!

A beachfront awards ceremony will be held at the Amphitheater following the completion of each event. Winners will be awarded a 2009 Surf Monkey trophy and H2OAudio product pack, and all participants will receive a race t-shirt, assorted sponsor swag and raffle prizes as well as complimentary post race refreshments. There will also be special athlete signings.
