SAN DIEGO, CA -- The City of Encinitas in San Diego, CA is hosting an all water and endurance sports event, inviting all runners, swimmers, paddlers, stand up paddlers, triathletes, and everyone in-between to participate. Located at the charming cul-de-sac down Moonlight Beach, the rendezvous promises to be as much of a performance showdown as a celebration of health and the outdoor lifestyle.
Complementing the scene of festivities, live music and product displays will be on hand for both participants and the attending public. The water and run activities will span over the weekend, from Saturday to Sunday, with the run, paddle, and open triathlon on the first day and sprint triathlon and swimming on the second. All participants “will receive a race t-shirt, assorted sponsor swag and post race refreshments,” according to the festival’s flyer.
All ages are welcome and special age groups are available in some of the divisions, including a 50+ group in the paddle race dubbed “Kahuna” and a detailed age group breakdown in the open water swim. Athletes of all stripes have traditionally shared in the action, making the Moonlight Beach Paddle & Swim a “must attend event” for sports enthusiasts.
