White Air is Europe’s’ premier extreme multi-sports festivals and now in its 12th year.
Each year it changes and just gets bigger and bigger and September 19th-21st this year is no exception. With some 25 sports, European and UK Championships on and off the water plus an amazing line-up of groups for the live stage including the Pigeon Detectives and parties at the beach bar with Bestival and Radio Ones’ Rob Da Bank this is certainly one not to miss!
The European Thundercat Powerboat Championships are the headline championship event this year running alongside the UK Windsurfing Freestyle Championships, European Mountain Board Freestyle Championships, Skate pro’s on the new mini ramp and street course, Flatland BMX, FMX Freestyle, UK BSUPA Championships Stand Up Paddle board, Kitesurfing, Bocking, Wakeboarding, Surfing and the many more sports, arts and music, that have been added to make the complete and ultimate action sports festival that White Air has evolved into.
The Red Arrows will be there in force with a full 23 minute display on Saturday morning and then another full display on the Sunday morning as well. The pilots will then fly back by helicopter to be onsite and meet the public at White Air in the afternoon. Red Arrows Flight simulators will also be on site at the main White Air village for all to try.
The RAF Falcons are the world’s leading parachute display team and they will be dropping in to open the festival on Friday 19th.
The Pigeon Detectives will headline the music stage, incorporating 3 days and evenings and a great line-up of top local groups, new groups on the scene, plus The Operators, Mamas Gun, Sam Issac, for the big Saturday live stage and party night with Rob Da Bank on the decks!
The ‘Have a go’ is also back and provides the public with the chance to try the sports they see in this interactive side of White Air. Last year nearly 5000 people tried out sports at White Air so why not come and join them, sign up and taste the sports!
