Once again the whole gang congregated in on the West Side of Oahu in Makaha for Mel's Contest. The waves were rolling through a couple feet hight and the most talented stand up paddlers on the island put on a playful show for everyone on the beach. It was a full day of stand up paddle and canoe surfing that was full of smiles. Brada Mel Pu'u is a Makaha lifeguard and waterman born and raised in Makaha. He radiates aloha and is always working for a good cause. Thanks to Mel for another awesome event. Here's some photos of this year's stand up paddle contest. Thanks to photo editor, Cedric de Barros of the www.cutbackmag.com for the photos.
