“The inaugural YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series was a
tremendous success,” said Jeff Archer, co-founder of YOLO Board LLC and
visionary behind the race series event. “Being that it was our first, this race
series definitely exceeded our expectations. The most rewarding part has been
to witness everyone coming together in support of our local beach community,
from the paddlers who contributed their effort and time to the loyal spectators
and volunteers. Most importantly, our generous sponsors made this event
possible.”
Beautiful clear skies and perfect paddling conditions
were further complimented by the hundreds of spectators that came out in support
of the paddlers for the final race. Race sponsor Bud & Alley’s hosted a
post-race celebration complete with an awards ceremony and commemorative

“Keeping the tone fun and friendly
is the best foundation for a successful event and I believe this is why the
YOLO Board race series was such a big hit,”
added Sturdivant. “When folks are busy laughing and cheering, you can't go
wrong. I'm personally looking forward to the continued growth of our local
beach culture and to more fun days in the water for our kids and our
community. YOLO Board is proving to be a catalyst for that
growth.”
