Irvine, CA - (September
27, 2011) – SIMPLE Mobile® (http://www.mysimplemobile.com),
the company that has been revolutionizing the wireless world with their
innovative B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Phone) program, would like to congratulate
404 SIMPLE Mobile Stand Up Paddle
Race Team member, Danny Ching, on an incredibly strong showing at the Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle this
past weekend. Ching placed third in a heated battle during Saturday’s Elite Race,
before coming in first in Sunday’s 10-mile Distance Race, a grueling test of
endurance that had saw more than 200 participants out in the water off Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA.
The Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle events
are some of the most prestigious stand up paddle events in the industry.
Saturday’s Elite Race had Danny competing against field of 80 world class
paddlers in an exciting buoy course that saw many athletes falling off their boards into the water. In
Sunday’s 10-mile Distance Race, which had competitors paddling from Dana Point
to San Clemente and then back, Danny broke away in the first minute and never
gave up the lead, finishing with an impressive time of one hour and 17 minutes.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Danny and the 404 team. He sets the standard out there on pure,
power paddling,” commented Tim Garrett, SVP of marketing for SIMPLE
Mobile. “Overall, it was great weekend.
We love being part of such a fast growing sport and Team 404 always
represents us well.“
