After two weeks aboard two luxury 'The Moorings' boats in the company of twelve of the world's greatest Stand Up Paddlers, aptly named the Contenders, all eyes were once again on the infamous wave of Teahupo'o as it turned on to provide those assembled with the glory that they had been waiting for....
The goal of this unique exhibition event was to showcase a selection of the principal contenders of the Stand Up World Tour in their own environment: the ocean. On these Moorings boats, the riders were able to explore the beautiful islands of Tahiti in the company of their friends and rivals, searching for waves, braving 50 knot winds, swimming with sharks and rays and preparing themselves for the glorious rides that were the pot of gold at the end of the road.....Teahupo'o

Unlike ordinary competitions, there were no judges, no rules and no traditional event structure: the riders' only requirement was to go out and ride the waves they had traveled half way across the world to discover. In fact, they left the islands without a winner declared, but with the satisfaction that Teahupo'o had once again provided the bar that was waiting to be raised and the boundaries, redefined. COMPETITION RESULTS TO BE DECIDED INTERACTIVELY, BY THE AUDIENCE
After your review of the best waves scored by each of the riders during the event. We will post these best waves here, at www.watermanleague.com and encourage you to stop by, watch and post your score according to the guidelines that will be posted on the site.
