According to La Jolla Light (www.lajollalight.com) stand up paddlers, Todd Wirths and Matthew Porreca saved a disoriented snorkler who was suffering from an allergic reaction to penicillin. The disoriented snorkler was swallowing water and when he finally arrived at shore, went unconscious before being taken to the hospital. The snorkler was eventually discharged from the hospital. Stand Up Paddle Surfing Magazine sends respect to Todd, Matthew, and all the other stand up paddlers that are constantly keeping watch for snorkelers, swimmers, and surfers in distress.
