The marine artist and surfer Hilton Alves will achieve a further stage of the project Surf Art Kids in Hawaii, for this time painting two murals in the Sunset Beach Elementary School, located in front of Pipeline, North Shore /Oahu, between 21 and January 25. The theme of the event is "Keep DA Ocean Clean" where Hilton will distribute drawings for children to color, along with the murals painting. In November, Hilton achieved part of the Surf Art Kids in Waialua Elementary School, located in Oahu, painting a large mural with marine theme.

Hilton Alves Stand Up Paddler...Artist
This painting was dedicated to "Make a Different Day," date especially dedicated for people who practice social activities. After this painting, Hilton received several letters written by children from Waialua, thanking the work done in school and expressing admiration and affection for marine creatures portrayed in the mural. For this time, Hilton will paint two murals with the theme: surf and nature marine living in harmony. "One of the murals I will paint alone and the another with children's help" he says
ImageThe Surf Art Kids was created in 2004, a social and volunteer project developed by the artist. At that time, he already meet the kids to teach the techniques of drawing and painting. The project is divided into 3 categories, with patining on canvas classes, drawing and mural. Since then, Hilton has already developed the project in 3 states of Brazil: São Paulo, Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, helping and teaching several children to paint the beauty of the sea, uniting art with entertainment.

ImageAs a sportsman, Hilton Alves loves competitions related to the sea. During the month of August 2007, he was one of the Brazilians to participate to the traditional proof Duke's Ocean Fest, in Waikiki Beach. At the category Paddleboard Race, he rowed 14 km ( 8,75miles)* on a stand up board and ended the race in the fifth position among competitors from 18 to 30 years of age. This year, he intends to participate to the new aquatic events.

The artist of the surf - Hilton Alves is a lover of the sea. This passion took the surfer to express all the beauty of the aquatic world in drawings, paintings and murals. As Self-taught, he began painting professionally for seven years. Sports as the stand-up paddle surf are also frozen in the screens of Hilton Alves. The Waterman collection portrays images of stand-up paddle, and also includes bodysurf, diving and big surf. ImageHis arts draw attention, mainly for lovers of the sea. "My relationship with sports is total important to my everyday life, because it is my source of inspiration," he says. He has stated his paintings in several events such as the Surf & Beach Show and International Display of Art and Surf Culture and some of his murals can be seen in Av. dos Caiçaras in Guarujá city/Brazil and at the Fishing Museum in Santos city - Brazil .
