Fenwick Island, DE — On Wednesday, 5/25/11, Will Rich and Mike Simpson are scheduled to arrive in Fenwick Island, DE on standup paddleboards (SUP) as part of their SUP the Coast awareness campaign for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting wounded military personnel and their families.
Will and Mike began their SUP the Coast journey in Key West, Fla., on March 1, 2011, and plan to follow the Intracoastal Waterway to Portland, Maine, which they expect to reach by mid summer. Along the way they’re raising awareness and funding for the WWP.
“We’re both standup paddle boarders with a deep respect for the sacrifices our military men and women make every day for our freedom and security,” said Will Rich. “We’re proud to be standing up for those who stood up for us.”
