will kick of proceedings for the event, with an athlete annual general meeting at Surfer the Bar in Turtle Bay Resort at 4.30pm
Event registration open to all will then be open from 5.30pm
with a Pacifico Welcome event at 6pm
, as the Waterman League introduces the event, the key players and what you can expect from this dramatic weekend of action here at Turtle Bay Resort.
This will then be followed by a look back at the development of the sport with Ocean Sports legend and pioneer, Archie Kalepa at 7pm
. This event will be live broadcast from Surfer the Bar from 6.30pm

Saturday 12th October: Long Distance Race to Haleiwa
The live broadcast on the 1st day of action at Turtle Bay will start at 12pm
, with a pre event show hosted by Rocky Canon and Kaipo Guerrero, followed by the start for the Long distance race at 1pm
from Turtle Bay. This legendary long distance course takes in the world's most famous surf breaks, from Sunset and Pipeline, to Waimea and finishing in Ali'i Beach Park, Haleiwa, encompassing the entire 7 mile miracle. The long distance course will challenge the athletes' complete skill set, as they navigate the downwind sections, and flat spots to make their way to the harbor wall in Haleiwa: a total of just under 13 miles.
The Long distance race will provide divisions for the World Series 12'6 class, but also 14' and open classes, as well as a prone division, so entries are open to all for this dramatic race to close a spectacular season for the World Series. Sunday 13th October: World Series Sprints at Turtle Bay
will see a full day of action, with the Na Kama Kai Youth Challenge taking place in the morning from 9am - 11am
, featuring a one design format open to U16. The live broadcast will then start at 11am
, with the pre event show and look back at the Long Distance Race.
The widely anticipated and spectacular World Series Sprint Racing will then kick off at 12pm
right in front of the Hang Ten Pool Bar, as the heat elimination format and natural arena that Turtle Bay provides, that incorporates the 'Pool Bars' Surf break into the Race Course will provide some of the most spectator driven and exciting racing of the year.
Once again, it is open to all, and there will also be a prone division for the sprint races providing something for everyone here at the World Series Finals at Turtle Bay. Make sure to watch it all go down live right here at:
