Miami Beach Charity Paddleboard Race & Party Provides Fun, Sun & Prizes For a Good Cause
On September 24, 2011, The Big Heart Paddle will be underway for its 2nd year of paddleboard races, team challenges and daytime party fun at Miami Yacht Club. With daytime entertainment including popular nightlife DJ K-Razor and a post race party sponsored by Avion Tequila, Kona Beer, ZICO Coconut water and more this paddleboard event is going to be anything but typical. Food will be provided for FREE to all who attend thanks to Fratelli La Bufala who will be bringing their brick oven to the event to make and give away their amazing buffalo mozzarella brick oven pizza to all in attendance.
Shutterbox Photobooth will allow everyone to remember the day in style with their custom photobooth creations. The Big Heart Paddle will consist of a 5 mile race with a men’s and women’s division, a 3 mile race with a men’s and women’s division, a team challenge for teams of 5, and a daytime party following the paddleboard activities. Prizes for the daytime extravaganza include a custom Jimmy Lewis paddleboard that is the collaborative efforts of Jimmy Lewis and internationally known artist LEBO, a Kona Beach Cruiser, a “Most Stylish Paddler” award that includes head to toe beach attire and accessories thanks to Follow The Sun Boutique, Avion Tequila Prize Packages, Equinox Fitness Center Memberships, weekend hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates and much more, all to raise awareness for the Bavery Beads Foundation, a children’s charity that improves the quality of life for critically ill children through their Bravery Beads Program that is implemented in pediatric hospitals throughout the country.
