We’ve all seen the smirky smile of stand up paddlers trying their best to contain the excitement they feel about the sport. As focused as they try to be, even the most stone faced surfers you know end up leaking stoke through a silly grin that says, “Nothing gets better than this.” Stand up paddle brothers and sisters, it’s time to share the stoke!
Stand Up Paddle Surfing Magazine invites you to type up and share your experience. You don’t need to be an eloquent writer nor an expert rider. The thrill of stand up paddling spreads from gentle inland lakes to the roaring reefs of the Pacific and has captivated folks from all walks of life all around the world. In one paddle out on the ocean you’re likely to cross paths with the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker. The great thing is that on the water, we’re all the same - sea level and stoked!
Send us your story along with some shout-outs to your friends and a plug for your business if you’d like and we’ll publish it. Here’s the format . . .
1. Let us know your name or nickname/super hero alias or whatever and where you’re from.
2. Tell us where you first saw or heard about stand up paddling for the absolute very first time.
3. What does stand up paddling mean to you?
4. Shout-outs to friends, family, and other surfers as well as a quick plug for your business if you’d like.
You can be down right serious about it or have some fun with it. It’s up to you. This sport has quick become a symbol of good times and it’s bound to shine through as you type. Again, don’t worry about being poetic or grammatically correct, just type it up and send it. It could be four sentences or a thousand. We look forward to getting a peek into stand up paddling where you and others around the world live and paddle.
