Happy Earth Day to everyone worldwide. On your paddle outs today, be sure to make extra effort to clean up the rivers and oceans. Every year on April 22nd Earth Day is celebrated in the Spring of the Northern Hemisphere and the Autumn of the Southern Hemisphere. The first Earth Day in 1970 brought together 2,000 colleges and universities, 10,000 primary and secondary schools, and hundreds of communities for peaceful demonstrations. Approximately 20 million Americans participated on that day. Although every day should be treated as Earth Day, it sure is nice for the world to come together on the same day to remember the beatiful Earth we live on. Happy paddling and have a great day.
