Get Ready for Stand Up Paddleboarding:

Stand Up Paddleboarding is now the fastest growing watersport in the country. Whether you're on the ocean, lake, river, or bay, it's a fun and relaxing way to stay fit. Join Bob Pearson, designer of the Pearson Arrow line of paddleboards for Surftech International and personal shaper for surfing legend Laird Hamilton, for an insider's look at this exciting new sport. Bob will introduce you to the history of SUP, from its origins in Hawaii to its spread to the High Sierra. He'll discuss the evolution of board design, as influenced by his work with the world's top athletes. Learn what it takes to get started and how to find the board right for you.

Seating Policy: If you register for any of our free in-store presentations, we will hold a seat for you until the scheduled start. The event is free and open to the public, and will be held at REI, 1338 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley 94702 on September 8. Seating is limited.
