Hi everyone! I need some help choosing an SUP for my dad. It's a gift for the holidays. He's 5'10 and 175 lbs. He's paddleboarded once and loved it, but he's been surfing since he could walk. To give you a better idea, for a long time he lived with his dog out of his VW van at the beach and surfed every day. He has had all types of boards but is mostly drawn to long boards. He's in his 60's now and is still very active but mostly rides the waves out without doing any fancy turns anymore.
My siblings and I are going in on a board for him that will be used 90% of the time for surfing. Because certain family members insist on buying from REI - that has to be the place I buy it. These are the ones I've found:

What do you guys recommend? I've got to keep it under $2,000.
