Lake Paddling - Is Leash Necessary? 5 Months, 1 Week ago  
I'm just getting ready to start paddling on a mile long lake in my neighborhood. Do you think a leash is an important thing to have or is it more for surf paddling? Thanks for the input.

I would say yes.. Even when it's glassy the conditions can change so quickly.

I would suggest a coiled leash with a knee cuff to keep it from dragging in the water.
