I tried paddle boarding for the first time, and I am in love with it! Any suggestions on a good board for a beginning Stand up paddle boarder who plans to use it multiple times a week and works to get advanced. I am 5'8". Thanks fotr any replies.

Also, are there differences on boards for surf and for flat water.

The 11' NSP is a great starter board and a pretty good price.

If you want to pay a little more and get something better there are so many great brands out there now and it's hard to say one is better than the other.. Check out your local SUP shop and see what they say.. I'd recomend the 11'6" Naish Nalu if you want to use it mostly in small waves and the 12' Naish Glide if you want it mostly for flat water.. So yes.. There are different boards for surf and flat water.. The 10' Naish Mana is also worth checking out as a do-it-all board.. Yeah.. I'm a big Naish fan.. Good luck and have fun.
