Today HaleiwaBill and I went for a small wave session in Town. We both were riding basically the same board with the main difference being mine hand glassed epoxy and Bill's popout construction. They're both really fun boards. The popout was slightly more buoyant than the glassed board but not by much. I was expecting much more buoyancy from the popout. Also, it seemed that the popout was faster on the water. It could be because the surface is smoother or the rails are a little softer. Anyone else been able to compare a molded popout to a hand glassed epoxy board?
