My Laird Surtech:

Stable, light for its massive size.

Harder to catch a wave than my Jimmy Lewis 11 footer.

My Jimmy Lewis 11 footer (made in Vietnam):

Very light, lively and sporty feeling compared to my Laird. Easier to catch a wave. Less stable, but more fun to ride.

The Jimmy Lewis 11'7 production:

For light weights only, or young guns with good balance. Too unstable for my 208 lbs and 6'2 height.
