I'm looking for some advice on a paddle that will provide lots of power fast. I'm a full sized guy with a fat board that jumps on wind driven, waist to chest high, lake waves with short wave periods . Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dennis,

I'm 6'4" and about 200lbs and I think the Kialoa Shaka Pu'u is the best paddle out there today.

There's heaps of good paddles available now and the trend is to go with smaller blades..and I agree.

I wouldn't recommend going with a blade size any bigger than the Shaka Pu'u.. It may take some getting used to the flat Kialoa blade.

Check out C4, Quick Blade and Werner for very good paddles.. I prefer Kialoa's because of their unique shaft shape and T grip handle.
